Alaska - The Nanooks still have 25 more days until their next game after wrapping up the academic semester in Fairbanks and heading home. Alaska plays next at Michigan on Jan. 11.

Bowling Green - Sophomore forward Ryan Carpenter scored the lone goal in the Falcons’ 4-1 loss to Notre Dame, snapping a three-game point drought and a four-game goal drought. Carpenter is now tied for the team lead in goals (5) with freshman forward Mark Cooper.

Ferris State - The Bulldogs’ next action is against Cornell at the Florida College Hockey Classic on Dec. 28 in Estero, Fla. The game is a rematch of the 2012 NCAA Midwest Regional final won by Ferris State in Green Bay, Wisc.

Lake Superior - The Lakers recorded their first sweep of the season, defeating Northern Michigan, 3-0 and 3-1. Lake Superior finished the first half of the season on a three-game win streak and has killed off 24 straight penalties.

Miami - The RedHawks held Ohio State to one goal in both weekend games. Miami has not allowed more than two goals in any of its last 11 games, dating back to a Nov. 2 loss to Ferris State, 3-0. Miami ranks third nationally and second in the CCHA, allowing just 1.67 goals-per game.

Michigan - In his first start of the season, and first action since Jan. 7, 2012, junior goaltender Adam Janecyk earned his first career shutout and win on Saturday in the Wolverines 2-0 victory over Western Michigan.

Michigan State - The Spartans snapped a six-game winless streak with a 3-1 victory over Ferris State on Saturday, which also halted a four-game skid against the Bulldogs.

Northern Michigan - Sophomore defenseman Jake Baker scored his first goal of the season, and second career goal, on Saturday. Senior defenseman Kyle Follmer assisted on the tally for his 60th career point (11-49-60).

Notre Dame - The Irish are on a six-game win streak and have won eight straight CCHA games since Nov. 4. The last time Notre Dame won six in a row was Feb. 13 to March 21, 2009 when the Irish won 10 in a row. The last time they won eight CCHA games in a row came Dec. 2 to Jan. 13, 2006-07.

Ohio State - Senior goaltender Brady Hjelle has started the Buckeyes last six games and is third in the NCAA with a 1.46 goals-against average and ranks second with a .951 save percentage. In CCHA play he has a 0.79 goals-against average and .972 save percentage.

Western Michigan - Senior forward Ben Warda, senior defenseman Luke Witkowski and sophomore forward Justin Kovacs all netted their first goals of the season in the Broncos’ 4-1 win at Michigan on Friday.

CCHA Celebrate the Legacy - On Dec. 11, 2010, the ‘Big Chill at the Big House’ set a world record for attendance at a hockey game, with a crowd of 104,173. Michigan defeated Michigan State, 5-0, on an ice rink constructed on the turf of Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich.
