Ferris State - After scoring just one goal last season, junior forward Justin DeMartino scored his second and third goals of this season in a weekend split at Lake Superior with a goal in both Friday’s 4-1 loss and Saturday’s 2-1 win.

Lake Superior - The Lakers netted two goals in 13 seconds in their 4-1 win over Ferris State on Friday. The last time Lake Superior notched two goals in thirteen seconds was Feb.12, 2010, also   against the Bulldogs.

Miami - Miami improved to 6-0-0 when scoring at least three goals this season after its 5-2 win over Northern Michigan on Friday, while the RedHawks are 0-2-2 when scoring less than three goals after Saturday’s 2-2 tie with the Wildcats.

Michigan - After scoring in the 7-2 loss at Michigan State on Saturday, senior forward A.J. Treais leads the nation in goals with eight in nine games.  He scored a career-high 15 goals in 40 games last season.

Michigan State - The Spartans’ five-goal victory on Saturday was their largest victory margin against the Wolverines since an 11-4 win on Dec. 10, 1989. The seven goals were the most this season for MSU and the first time it scored that many since a win over Miami on Jan. 21, 2011.

Northern Michigan - Senior forward Matt Thurber continues to lead the nation in assists, adding his 11th of the season on Saturday on junior forward Stephan Vigier’s power-play tally. He is fourth in the CCHA in overall points (1-11-12).

Ohio State - Senior defenseman Devon Krogh played in his 100th career game Friday against Alaska and leads the current squad in career games played. Krogh played in all 35 games a season ago but missed five games earlier this season after suffering an  injury in the season opener.
