Lake Superior- Junior goaltender Kevin Kapalka recorded his first CCHA start and win of the season during the Lakers’ 3-2 victory over Ohio State on Saturday. Kapalka had been out of the lineup since Oct. 26 after suffering an injury.

Miami- After a weekend off, the first-place RedHawks head to Alaska for a two-game series against the Nanooks. Miami is 2-2-0 on the road this year, all of which are CCHA contests. In those four games, the RedHawks have been outscored 12-10.

Michigan-The Wolverines lost to Cornell, 5-1, in a non-conference game on Saturday at New York’s Madison Square Garden.  It was a rematch of last season’s NCAA regional semifinal.

Notre Dame-  Saturday’s 5-2 win over No. 7 North Dakota closed out a streak of 11 consecutive games for the Irish against teams that were ranked nationally at the time of the game. Notre Dame went 7-4 in those games.

Ohio State- Sophomore forward Tanner Fritz has three consecutive two-assist games and is on a five-game assist streak with eight helpers in the stretch. He leads the Buckeyes with nine assists and 11 points.

Western Michigan- After a weekend off, the Broncos host Northern Michigan this weekend in their second and third conference home games this season.  Western Michigan is 1-0-0-0 with a win over Bowling Green at home in CCHA play.
