The number '3' figures prominently in the game of hockey. Every game has at least three periods and (this season in the CCHA) three points in the conference standings are up for grabs. You get a hat trick if you score three goals in one game and afterwards the Perani Cup Three Stars are announced.

To help pay tribute to the game's integral number, we have asked CCHA student-athletes about their three favorites in 10 different categories.

This week we feature Ohio State sophomore goaltender Cal Heeter and Michigan State sophomore defenseman Matt Crandell.
