2011-12: Lettered for the third time, appearing in 36 games. Scored four goals and tallied a team-high 22 assists. Started the season on a five-game point streak, scoring a goal and adding four assists. Had four games with multiple points, including a goal and two assists at Michigan Tech (Jan. 21). Scored a goal and had an assist vs. Lake Superior State (Feb. 25). Tallied two assists at Michigan State (Feb. 13) and vs. Ferris State (Feb. 3).
2010-11: Appeared in 39 games with five goals and 10 assists for 15 points to earn second letter. Assistant team captain. Scored a goal and had an assist in a 6-5 win at Michigan State (Feb. 12). Had a three-game point streak with goals vs. Michigan Tech (Dec. 17) and Denver (Dec. 31) and an assist at Denver (Jan. 1). Scored first goal of the season at Miami (Oct. 23).
2009-10: Appeared in 41 games with two goals and 12 assists for 14 points. Received honorable mention selection to the CCHA All-Rookie Team. Recorded first collegiate point on an assist against Bemidji State (Oct. 23). Had a four-game assist and point streak (Jan. 15-23) with four assists. Scored first collegiate goal against Miami (Oct. 30) at 7:12 of the third period. Recorded three points (1-2-3) against Alaska for a career-high (March. 12)
Before NMU: Played for the Lincoln Stars of the USHL for two seasons (2006-08). Best season was 2006-07 when he had 43 points on 21 goals and 22 assists. In 2007-08 had 31 (6-25) points. Also participated in football and baseball in high school. Was all-state in football and hockey in high school.
Personal: A 2006 graduate of St. Paul Como Park High School. Likes to fish and hunt. Majoring in physical education/coaching. Son of Gail and Joseph Follmer. Born on September 9, 1987.
