Northern Michigan takes win over Michigan Tech

Farmington Hills, Mich. – Northern Michigan defeated Michigan Tech in a non-conference matchup.

Marquette, Mich. – Northern Michigan got goals from junior defenseman C. J. Ludwig and junior forward Erik Higby in a 2-1 win over visiting Michigan Tech in non-conference play. The Wildcats took a two-goal lead in the second period before the Huskies scored with 6:34 remaining in regulation. Northern Michigan junior goaltender Jared Coreau made 25 saves in the win.
