The announcement was made by Jason Karmanos, vice-president and assistant general manager of the Hurricanes. Lawson's two-year contract will begin next season (2010-11). Wed, 03 Mar 2010 10:57:45 EDT Notre Dame finished the 2009-10 season with a series split against Michigan, dropping a 4-0 decision at Ann Arbor on Thursday, Feb. 25 before bouncing back with a 5-3 win on Senior Night at the Joyce Center on Saturday, Feb. 27. That win gave the Irish a 13-15-8 overall record and a 9-12-7-2 mark in the CCHA. Saturday's win coupled with a series loss by Lake Superior State to Northern Michigan, moved Notre Dame into ninth place in the league standings and sends the Irish to Ohio State for a best-of-three first round series with the Buckeyes from Fri., March 5 to Sunday, March 7 (if necessary). | |
