Notre Dame Blanks Western Michigan

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Notre Dame blanked Western Michigan, 4-0, to split the weekend series and remain on top of the CCHA standings.
South Bend, Ind. – Notre Dame junior goaltender Steven Summerhays recorded his second shutout of the season with 14 saves and notched an assist, helping the Irish to a 4-0 win over Western Michigan to split the series. Junior forward Anders Lee scored twice for the Irish and freshman forward Steven Fogarty scored on the power play and junior forward Jeff Costello also found the back of the net. Junior forward Bryan Rust had a multi-point outing with two assists. Western Michigan split time in the net, as sophomore goaltender Frank Slubowski and freshman goaltender Lukas Hafner combined to make 31 saves.
