Erik Condra Signs With Ottawa Senators

Notre Dame hockey right wing Erik Condra (Livonia, Mich.) has signed an National Hockey League entry-level contract with the Ottawa Senators. The announcement was made by Senators' general manager Bryan Murray on July 1.

Kyle Palmieri Selected In First Round Of NHL Entry Draft By Anaheim Ducks

Freshman right wing Kyle Palmieri (Montvale, N.J.) was selected in the first round of the National Hockey League Entry Draft on Friday night at the Bell Centre when the Anaheim Ducks called his name with the 26th overall pick of the draft. He becomes the second Notre Dame player ever selected in the first round of the NHL's Entry Draft, joining junior defenseman Ian Cole (Ann Arbor, Mich.) who was selected in the 2007 draft with the 18th overall pick by the St. Louis Blues. Rounds two through seven of the draft will be held on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Incoming freshman Kyle Palmieri became the second Notre Dame hockey player to be picked in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft when the Anaheim Ducks picked him with the 26th pick on Friday night in Montreal.

WSBT Radio Names Darin Pritchett Play-By-Play Voice Of Notre Dame Hockey

WSBT Radio Group today announced that award-winning, play-by-play broadcaster Darin Pritchett has been named the play-by-play voice of the nationally ranked Notre Dame hockey team for the upcoming 2009-10 season. Now in his 10th year at WSBT, Pritchett took over the role last February on a moment's notice due to the untimely death of Mike Lockert, who had handled the play-by-play duties for seven seasons. He remained with the Irish through the NCAA Tournament.
