At Fairbanks, Alaska, for the second straight game sophomore forward Dustin Sather had a multi-point performance as the Nanooks defeated visiting British Columbia, 3-2., in Fairbanks, Alaska. 

Sather had a power-play goal late in the first period and assists on junior forward Dion Knelsen’s goal and senior forward Adam Naglich’s game winner.  Junior forward Brandon Knelsen had two power-play assists helping Alaska convert on two of its nine power plays.  For the second straight game senior goaltender Chad Johnson and freshman netminder Scott Greenham split time and combined for 21 saves and the win.

British Columbia made it close with two late third-period goals by sophomore forward Jordan Inglis and sophomore defenseman Max Gordichuk.  The Thunderbirds also got 31 saves from junior goalie Francois Thuot.

The Nanooks will now prepare for the Kendall Hockey Classic in Anchorage, Alaska, as they will face Northeastern University on Friday, October 10 at 5:07 p.m.
