Oxford, Ohio - Sophomore defenseman Raymond Eichenlaub fired his fourth goal of the season over the shoulder of Ohio State rookie goalie Joseph Palmer at 1:38 of the third period to give the Miami RedHawks a 2-1 win over the Buckeyes in Sunday CCHA action at Oxford, Ohio.

The Miami victory sets up a first-place showdown next weekend when the RedHawks travel to Notre Dame for a two-game series trailing the Irish by just one point for top spot.

Today's first two goals came in the opening period. Miami captain Ryan Jones jammed in his 17th goal of the season at the 2:57 mark. Ohio State junior Tommy Goebel snapped in a wrist shot at 5:06 for his eighth goal of the season.

The RedHawks (13-5-1 in CCHA play) outshot the Buckeyes (7-7-4 in CCHA play) by a 32-27 margin.

Ohio State, like Miami, will be on the road next weekend as the Buckeyes travel to Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., for a pair of games against Lake Superior State.
