The 23-year old from Trenton, Mich., led the RedHawks in scoring during January, recording two goals and eight assists in nine games as the RedHawks posted a 6-2-1 record. With seven goals and 16 assists, he paces all CCHA defensemen with 23 points.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound defenseman earned CCHA Defenseman of the Week honors in back-to-back weeks during the month. He earned accolades for a five-assist performance against Western Michigan University on Jan. 20-21. He helped set up both goals on Jan. 21 when the RedHawks scored twice in the final 22 seconds for an improbable 4-3 victory over the Broncos, 4-3. Greene repeated as CCHA Defenseman of the Week with a goal and an assist to go along with a +2 rating during a road sweep of Ferris State on Jan. 27-28.

Greene, who was named the CCHA Offensive Defenseman of the Year in 2004-05, has captained Miami to its first-ever No. 1 ranking in the national polls. He currently ranks seventh nationally in points-per-game by defensemen.
