A 15-foot inflatible Mason Cup welcomed fans to the Berry Events Center Saturday night as part of the CCHA's Road to the Joe tour.

Two-year old Brett Whittler watched Alaska Fairbanks pick up its first-ever win in Marquette Saturday.

Anna, Katy and John Wheeler saw the Northern Michigan Wildcats lose their first game at home this season with a 2-1 setback against UAF Saturday.

Despite a loss, this young fan was excited to be at a college hockey game.

Northern Michigan is now 9-1-2 and 16-3-4 overall against the Nanooks.

The Wildcats' 13-game home-ice undefeated streak ended with Saturday's 2-1 loss to UAF. During the streak, NMU swept Ferris State, Michigan State, Nebraska-Omaha and Bowling Green while posting single wins over Michigan Tech, Lake Superior and UAF, while gaining a win and tie against Miami.

Three-year old Karsten Kamps cheered on the Wildcats as Jamie Milam scored his seventh marker of the season, NMU's lone goal Saturday night.

These young fans hope to see the Wildcats among the six teams at Joe Louis Arena in March, competing for an NCAA automatic bid and CCHA Playoff Championship crown.
