Michigan State - Ohio State tangle Tuesday to jumpstart this week's CCHA action.
Nov. 14, 2005
At Farmington Hills, Mich., Michigan State travels to Columbus to compete against Ohio State in MSU's second Tuesday night contest in a row. The game marks the 96th time the two schools with meet. Ohio State-Michigan State will be a game between two teams at different ends of the spectrum. For OSU, the game will be the Buckeyes first in nine days, while MSU continues its stretch of eight games in 16 days. In Columbus, Michigan State holds a 26-11-6 advantage in the all-time series. However, recent history favors the Buckeyes. Last season Ohio State took two out of three games against the Spartans, as the two split the regular-season series before Ohio State beat Michigan State in the Super Six semifinals. Tuesday's game is the first of three games for both teams this week. Ohio State remains in Columbus this weekend to host Lake Superior State, and Michigan State will complete a week in which they play three games in three different cities with a home-and-home series against Western Michigan.
