2011 CCHA Tournament Champions: Miami RedHawks
The 2011 CCHA Tournament saw the Miami RedHawks capture their first Mason Cup after defeating the Western Michigan Broncos, 5-2, on March 19, 2011 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Mich. Miami earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament, finishing the regular season with a 16-7-5-2 record in confernce play. Senior forward Andy Miele earned the tournament's Most Valuable Player honor and went on to win the Hobey Baker Award, the first award received by a Miami RedHawk.
